At the heart of the COOS experience are our cherished encounters with God; whether it be seasons of growth, adversity or rebuilding. Over the years many have met God in this place through miraculous healings, personal encounters, reconciliation and spiritual breakthroughs.

Church of Our Saviour began as an Anglican medical mission along Indus Road, where rail workers were housed. Over the years, the church which moved to Prince Charles Crescent in 1956, grew under the leadership of Father Abraham Daniels.

Under the Spirit-filled and dynamic leadership of Revd Canon Derek Hong, Church of Our Saviour relocated to 130 Margaret Drive — where it currently stands – to accommodate even more growth, which arose from our many miracle healing rallies and Creative Arts showcase outreaches. Amid a diverse, growing and revitalised Queenstown. We are now more affectionately known as COOS.

Archdeacon Venerable Daniel Wee led a passionate, caring team of volunteers and staff, building COOS as a vibrant community of believers, who seek to love our neighbours
as God loves us. We express this love through diverse ministries, which include: praying for healing, counselling those who are struggling with stress, supporting families in everyday challenges, embracing people with disabilities, building
up our youth for the future, and bridging gaps in our community.

We saw the passing of the baton to Revd Christopher Ho, whose passion for evangelism, missions and discipleship saw him launching the Vision 100 campaign: COOS sent 132 mission teams, of 1,148 participants, to minister to 21 nations. Affectionately known to us as Rev Chris, his dedication to bridge the English and Chinese congregations has thus brought about an evidently-growing unity among us.
Every day — whether it be at our various weekend services (see our service times on page 44), or our weekday activities – we continue to seek God’s presence in Spirit-filled worship, through His unfailing word and warm authentic fellowship.
